Broadcaster and campaigner Dame Esther Rantzen dies aged 86

Dame Esther Rantzen has died at the age of 86, her family has announced. The broadcaster and campaigner, best known for presenting That's Life!, founded charities supporting children and older people and became a prominent campaigner for assisted dying in England and Wales. Her family paid tribute to her as "the most wonderful mother" and a "cherished grandmother", remembering her for her "endless capacity for joy".
