Buckingham Palace has hit back over a series of explosive allegations made about King Charles by Princess Diana's brother. Writing in his new book, Earl Spencer alleged that the then Prince of Wales told him "we'll forget her soon enough" after Diana's death. He also claimed Charles overruled his attempt to stop William and Harry walking behind their mother's coffin during the funeral. Buckingham Palace said "the pain of fraternal grief can cloud reason and affect judgement".
