The Defence Minister Richard Marles has ordered a safety review of military training risk factors, including fatigue, following the death of a young corporal in a vehicle rollover south of Darwin on Monday. Former soldiers say there are still too many defence members dying off the battlefield, but training safety can only be improved so much because it needs to be realistic enough to prepare them for war.
