Search underway for 140 people after Indonesian ferry reported missing

One person was killed and more than 100 rescued after a ferry carrying 243 passengers and crew was hit by bad weather while en route to Banjarmasin in Indonesia’s South Kalimantan on Sunday (Sep 13). The Virgo Transport 8’s captain reported that the vessel was “tilting” before contact was lost. Search operations are ongoing for those still unaccounted for.
