A 25-year-old Malaysian man charged with abetment by conspiracy to assist another person to retain benefits from criminal conduct was taken back to a crime scene in Punggol on Monday (Oct 26). Saravanan Ramu allegedly collected S$3,500 in cash and about S$20,000 in foreign currency and jewellery from a woman deceived by scammers posing as Harvey Norman employees and Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) officials.
