Serbia's president has stepped down, ending his second and final, five-year term. Aleksandar Vucic says he'll now pursue becoming prime minister in an early parliamentary vote. The populist leader is running as the candidate for the right-wing Serbian Progressive Party. The outgoing parliament speaker will serve as the country's interim president, until a new one is elected. Mirko Dautovic is a Serbian political analyst. He says Aleksandar Vucic is seeking to remain at the centre of power by running for prime minister in next month's parliamentary elections.
