In 2023, police raids across Singapore targeted a network of Chinese nationals profiting from Asia-wide scam operations and gambling syndicates. The case involved assets worth around $2.4 billion, with police seizing everything from cryptocurrency and gold bars, to watches and sports cars. Now, three years on from the raids, the city-state is selling off thousands of the forfeited luxury items. CNN's Oscar Holland visited Singapore's Freeport to see some of these luxury goods in person and learn more from the auction house tasked with selling them.
