Australian government sites taken down after discovery of PHP flaw

Some of the world’s biggest websites, including Australian government sites have been temporarily taken down after AI uncovered vulnerabilities in programming language PHP. About 75 per cent of the world’s websites use PHP and sites are being urged to implement a fix as soon as possible. Professor Lisa Given, the director of RMIT’s Centre for human AI information environments says there are examples of attacks happening by bad actors and the scale of the vulnerabilities has been 'massive' and 'global.'
