MST Marquee's head of energy research, Saul Kavonic says rationing could come into effect in Australia within weeks, and the price of diesel could skyrocket to $4 a litre, if US President Donald Trump follows through with threats to ban US diesel exports. The price of diesel is close to $3 a litre at the moment. Energy minister Chris Bowen is travelling to Saudi Arabia and India this week to try to secure fuel supplies for Australia.
