The threshold for means-tested subsidies will rise from a per capita monthly household income of S$4,800 to around S$6,000. This comes under new recommendations aimed at making care more affordable and accessible. The first set of recommendations by an inter-agency task force include fee caps, higher subsidies and more places at activity centres. The full set of proposals is due by early October.
