The military-backed government has issued a statement accusing Kyaw Moe Tun of engaging in "illegal activities". The allegations include the usage of state property and mission funds without authorisation, following a dismissal from civil service that took effect from 27 February 2021. He has remained Myanmar’s Permanent Representative to the UN, despite the military’s attempts to remove him after the 2021 coup. Leong Wai Kit reports.
